kyle has always been a frequent visitor of the ren-faire even before he got his position. he already has been acquainted with the organizers and other people who run the show behind the scenes, mostly for them to take advantage of his fame for this event. they're often unsuccessful, however.

he finds himself seated on a throne in an elevated platform, a crown placed upon his head. a robe settled on his shoulders, contrasting against the bandit costume he wore for the ren-faire. nervous, he stares upon a multitude of people before him in his seat.

his days of blending in with the crowds finally come to an end when the organizers eventually recognize him among the crowd and coerced him into participating in one of the events.

'any of you dare to defy the rule of dark lord?' one of the staff says, microphone at hand and a finger pointing to the audience.

the premise was simple. defeat the dark lord kyle lopez, free the kingdom from the clutches of evil and win a special prize from the king. choosing to join was voluntary, though the event staff would eventually just 'kidnap' an unlucky member of the audience to force to compete against kyle should there be none.
